Happy Valentine's Day!

How do I put this lightly? Mom isn't the most romantic of types. That's why Dad was so surprised to come home from work on Valentine's Day to find this lovely arrangement. A candlelit dinner complete with roses, balloons, wine and chocolate-covered strawberries. What is this delcious, home-cooked dinner you ask? Why it would be chili and cornbread because nothing says romance like a nice big bowl of chili!

Real Live Ducks

Since I have this fascination with ducks (see previous post about Howard), Mom thought it would be a good idea to take me to the Cuero lake to see actual real live ducks. I thought they were the greatest thing ever. So much so that I actually tried to jump in the water after them a few times. Luckily, Pappy is pretty light on his toes and stopped me before taking the leap.

Howard

Meet Howard. Howard is my best friend. If he is the PB, I am the J. I take him everywhere with me. While other kids may have security blankets or loveys, I have Howard. I know him by name and whenever you ask me where he is, I will go find him. Stay tuned to see what happens in this
unique friendship...

My 1st Birthday!

On Friday, February 11, I turned 1-year old. On Saturday, Mom and Dad threw me a big party with all of my closest friends and family to celebrate. We chowed down on BBQ and cupcakes and enjoyed a rather beautiful, sunny, warm day for mid-February. I'm suffering from a bit of separation/stranger anxiety right now so didn't mingle as much as I should have with everyone. Please don't be offended by this. I'm taking it day-by-day and seem to be getting better! More birthday party photos to come later...

I'm back!

Hello internet, Grayson here. Sorry I've been missing in action lately, but I've been a busy boy! Not only did I celebrate my very 1st birthday, but I had another stint in the hospital when I had tubes put in my ears! (The verdict is still out on if they've helped any.)

Here is the latest update on me: I am now 29 inches tall and almost 22 pounds. I have mastered the art of walking with flying colors. In fact, I can even slowly run if given the right motivation, say if my silly dad is chasing after me. I love the outdoors! This is my newest craze. The teachers at school say when I hear the word, 'outside', I drop whatever toy I'm holding and bolt for the door. Mom and Dad won't take me near the garage because as soon as they do, I start crying hysterically to go for a ride in my stroller or new red wagon. Luckily, Mom spoils me everyday by taking me with her on her long walks around the neighborhood. I live for those walks! I am still eating like a horse. Mom and Dad are dumb-founded on where I put it all and why I'm not a little chunker. I guess I have a fast metabolism like they each had when they were younger. Finally, I moved to the big boy room at school. I am now with all of the toddlers. While, I didn't like the transition at first and would cry my eyes out when Dad dropped me off in the mornings, I have now started to adjust. Turns out that even though the kids are all bigger than me, they are all pretty darn nice. Well, I guess that's it for now. Enjoy the randomly picked pictures below of me livin' life as a toddler. Kisses to all, Grayson
