Family Photo Shoot

Several weeks ago when Baby Holden was just 2 weeks old, our friend Ms. Haley came to take pictures of us.  Mom says that Ms. Haley's middle name must be 'patience' because what she had to go through in order to get a few good shots of us was the very definition of the word -  bottle feedings, pumpings, diaper changes, hyper two year olds, fussy newborns, exhausted parents - she was with us for more than 4 hours (and with a smile on her face the entire time)!  What makes her even better, in my opinion, is the Hot Wheels race car she gave me just for smiling!  See below for a few of the end results.  Visit Haley's website at:  www.laurahaleyphotography.com.

Labor Day Weekend

What a fun long weekend I had!  We started off the weekend by
going to the mall where I got to ride the indoor train followed by a city tour bus.

Next on the agenda was a visit to Pigtails and Crewcuts where I got a new do.  There are no more tears when I get my haircut now.  In fact, I actually look forward to going.

On Sunday, we met my buddy, Asher, at the park.  Asher has a new baby brother just like me.  Briar is exactly 1 month younger than Holden.  Here we all are on the choo train.  Frosty even got to accompany me on the ride.

After the train ride, we headed to the splash park where I discovered what a blast water slides can be!

Dutton Visit

Our latest visitors were the Duttons.  I think Cousin Avery was the most excited to see
Holden because she absolutely loves babies.  And what a big help she is...

Here is Avery cuddling Holden with Aunt Dina.

And giving him a bottle...

Future babysitter for hire right here!

Meanwhile, in the other half of the yard...

I got busy mowing for our guests while Uncle Chance and Cousin Mason hit a few baseballs.
We also made a trip to the splash park and rode the choo train - my two favorite things to do.
All in all, it was a pretty eventful weekend!

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe...

Aunt Molly and Aunt Mary drove in from Houston with all 4 of their boys to meet Holden.
That made 6 boys under the age of 4 under one roof!  Let the madness begin!!!

This is what chaos looks like ;)

The Brew Crew

We've had several visitors who have come to meet Holden.  One of the firsts on the scene were the Brewers.  They came right before Kiki's birthday so Mom surprised her with a little birthday party, including my favorite:  cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Kiki!

Yummmm....strawberry!

Is it possible for me to look any more like my daddy?!?

Ellie and I play so well together.  I even let her drive my jeep!

I was sad to see them go.  The feeling didn't last for long though because...

...the sugar from the cupcakes kicked in!  I was literally bouncing off the walls.  Mom was not happy when she caught me using the furniture as a jumping apparatus :)

Baby Holden

My baby brother is growing so fast!  Just this week, he turned 2 months old.  When Mom and Dad took him to the pediatrician, they were amazed when they found out that he is in the 75th percentile for weight (aka a little chunk!) and in the 50th percentile for height.  They were so surprised because I have never made it past the 20th percentile for either.  Should I be scared that my little brother is going to be bigger than me?!?

1-month birthday...

2-month birthday...
We have nicknamed Holden 'cheeks'.  Fitting name, don't you think?

My Little Olympian

Ms. Andy, my teacher at school, has such good ideas.  This week she showed us how to make torches and hats in observance of the Olympics.  Then, my class chanted "USA, USA" as we made our way down the halls and into the other classrooms.  You will never guess who led the way?  That's right, ME!  Here I am reenacting the procession for Mom and Dad.  Oh, by the way, I'm not quite able to pronounce my "U's" just yet so it's coming out more like "moo".  You get the drift though :)

Ellie's Birthday Party

A few weeks before Holden was born, Mom, Dad and I made a quick trip to Dallas for Ellie's 2nd birthday.  She had her party at The Little Gym where we were able to do all kinds of fun activities like walking on the balance beams, playing with hula hoops, shooting some baskets, dancing and much more.  After 4 hours of being cooped up in a car, what better way to work off some of my pent-up energy!  Happy 2nd Birthday Ellie!

Singing to the birthday girl!
Cupcakes again....score!
After the official party, we went back to Ellie's house for the after-party.
She received a bunch of cool gifts...

Like this super bouncy trampoline!

Look at Logan getting some air underneath her!

Sherbet party!
Mom has no idea how I even went to sleep that night after having so much sugar that afternoon!
